A Steady-State Nucleosynthesis Resolution of the Cosmological Lithium Problem

DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.21280631 · Open access · CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 · Zenodo

Observed lithium-7 abundances fall a factor of three below the prediction of primordial nucleosynthesis, a discrepancy that has resisted every proposed fix within the standard framework.

This paper resolves the problem by replacing a frozen primordial relic with a steady-state equilibrium of ongoing production and destruction in stellar environments. The equilibrium abundance matches observation without new particles or new physics beyond the mechanism itself.
