Weak lensing surveys consistently measure less clustering of matter than the standard model predicts from CMB data, a persistent discrepancy known as the S8 tension.
This paper derives a structure growth suppression mechanism from gravitational sorting and shows that it reproduces the lensing measurements without modifying the early-universe physics that fits the CMB.
