Why Singularities Cannot Form

DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.21303340 · Open access · CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 · Zenodo

General relativity predicts that complete gravitational collapse ends in a singularity of infinite density, a prediction widely regarded as signalling the theory's own breakdown.

This paper shows that in a physical substrate of finite density, collapse necessarily halts at a finite compression limit. Event horizons still form, observations are unchanged outside, but the interior remains finite everywhere. A simulation of the halting mechanism accompanies the paper.
