The Higgs Boson Without a Fundamental Higgs Field

DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.21303216 · Open access · CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 · Zenodo

The Higgs mechanism explains mass through a fundamental scalar field added to the Standard Model for that purpose, with its own unexplained parameters.

This paper shows that mass generation and the observed 125 GeV resonance both arise from substrate condensation dynamics without any fundamental scalar field, and states what would experimentally distinguish the two pictures.
