42. The Sunyaev-Zel'dovich Effect Does Not Uniquely Require a Relic Photon Background

The SZ effect, the distortion of the CMB spectrum by hot electron gas in galaxy clusters, is treated in the standard model as evidence of a distant relic photon background being scattered. BFUT Paper 10 reinterprets the same effect as local substrate interaction, the background field being the present thermal equilibrium state of the Spaticle field, not fossil radiation [P10].
