The standard model treats the 2.725 K cosmic microwave background temperature as a redshifted relic of a hot early universe, cooled by the expansion of space since recombination roughly 380,000 years after the Big Bang. BFUT Paper 7 derives the same temperature directly from the measured CMB energy density via the Stefan-Boltzmann relation, giving 2.7247 K against the observed 2.725 K, with no free tuning parameters and no expanding-metric redshift history, the temperature being continuously maintained by ongoing stellar fusion [P7].
