7. Cosmology May Be Confusing Horizon With Origin

The observable universe is bounded by horizons: limits of light travel, history, and observation. A horizon is a limit of access, not automatically a beginning. It tells us how far our information reaches, not where everything began. Under an infinite, eternal universe, the horizon is exactly what it appears to be, an observational limit, with no requirement that it also mark a physical origin point [P5].
