16. The Raisin Bread Version Smuggles In the Same Edge and External Force

A rising loaf of raisin bread is offered as an alternative to the balloon on the grounds that it avoids a two-dimensional surface. A real loaf has a crust, a definite outer boundary the dough does not cross, and rises because an external oven supplies heat from outside in one direction, an identifiable external driving force, and cannot rise indefinitely. A boundary, an external driving force, and a finite duration are exactly the three features an infinite, eternal, internally driven universe as derived in Paper 5 does not have [P5].
