Qualia

Also called: quale

The subjective, felt qualities of individual conscious experiences, such as the particular redness of red or the specific taste of coffee, considered independently of any behaviour or function they enable. The concept is used to isolate the purely experiential aspect of a mental state, and debates over whether qualia exist, and if so how they relate to physical brain states, are central to philosophy of mind.
