P2 — The Physical Identity of the Cosmological Constant (Λ): A Unified Resolution of the Cosmological Constant and Coincidence Problems in an Infinite Universe

Abstract

The cosmological constant Λ is reinterpreted not as dark energy but as the mathematical signature of spatial infinitude. In an infinite eternal universe, the energy density of the vacuum is exactly zero, and Λ emerges as a geometric consequence of boundary-free space. This dissolves both the cosmological constant problem — why Λ is so small — and the coincidence problem — why matter and vacuum energy happen to be comparable today.
